Mary Bolton: Stuck in the Mud

Absent and late are two words that describe Mary Bolton. Bolton is now working for a second publication. Formerly working for the Bolt she now works for Merry Media. Bolton has an attendance of 67%. She says she is happy to have an attendance rate better than 50%, but many do not condone this philosophy.

Back when Bolton was with the Bolt it was not a rare occurrence to hear somebody yell out "where is Mary?!" Oftentimes this was on deadline days when tensions were high and the stress levels even higher. Although Bolton usually got her articles passed in, the faces of her fellow employees reflected their frustration.

In the classroom Bolton has received the nickname-Mud. Mr. Greene, the journalism teacher, jokingly called her Mud one day saying he "thought" that was her name. How would any of us know that her name is not Mud? After all she is never here!

Recently there have been rumors about senior skip day at Nashua High South. Who is the impetuous behind these rumors you ask? Mary "Mud" Bolton of course! I have already been approached by South faculty and administration who have seen a public Facebook page started by Mary Bolton for the senior skip day. Who better to run a school-wide skip day than someone familiar with the art of skipping class?

Here is the best twist of all. Both groups she has been in were named after her. The Bolt was short for Bolton and Merry Media is just Mary spelled differently. It appears that Bolton has a decent amount of influence even though she is rarely in class.

Maybe reading this Mary will turn things around and come to class, but I'm willing to bet she is not even here to read it.
Above is the rare occurrence of Mary in class
